The process to getting a garden is described below….etc<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1 – The Request<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

First of all, thank you for your interest in a native plant garden designed and installed by us! The first step is to fill out this form and send it to ____ @____.ca <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’ll take a look at your request and get back to you within 10 business days (?????) with any clarifying questions we have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2 – The Consultation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We coordinate with you to complete a free consultation. During the consultation, we’ll take a look at your desired garden location, discuss plant options and layouts. Please note that we do not currently do invasives removal as part of a garden.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We require everyone to have a utilities check performed by your local power and water suppliers. These are typically free and can be booked online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3 – The Design<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After the consultation, we prepare a quote and contract which will outline the garden design, and details such as the number and placement of plants, the date of your install, and cost. Each quote also includes a hand-drawn sketch of your proposed garden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

This document is sent to you for review once we’ve received the results of your utilities check. If all within the quote looks good to you, we ask you to sign and return it to us via email. Then we start ordering your plants! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note that when you sign the contract, we will not be able to substitute plants from the plan upon request as they must be ordered well ahead of time of the install. We want to help you build your dream garden, so please don’t hesitate to discuss the proposed garden design with us prior to signing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 4 – The Install<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Plants may take up to ______ days\/weeks to arrive. > put this in quote instead. we reserve the right to change install days to within a week of OG install day due to inclement weather.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the day of your install, please make sure we have access to the desired garden location. You do not need to be home on the day; if that is the case we will email you pictures. We also need access to a water source, be it a garden hose or a rain barrel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We arrive, we remediate the soil if required, and plant! We do mulch to keep weeds down but over time, it will be for you to decide if you would like to keep mulching to maintain that traditional garden look, or let the mulch degrade as the plants become established for a fuller cottage garden look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your garden install quote will have a reduced price if you tarp the area of your desired garden up to a year before install. This ensures weeds or grass are killed off before we arrive, making our job easier and faster!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 5 – Enjoy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Watch your garden grow and change through the seasons! Keep in mind that native plants typically need 2 to 3 years to reach their full potential. The first year they sleep, the second, they creep, and the third they leap! We’ve personally found that leap often happens in the second year, and sometimes even on the first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The great thing about native gardens is that they typically require a lot less maintenance. The plants are perennials or self-self seed, which means you only need to plant once. Sometimes, things can get a bit overgrown, and can require a bit of work in the spring and or fall. We recommend leaving stems and leaves as they are in the fall to provide habitat for overwintering insects like fireflies and moths. The same benefit can be also achieved by cutting stems down and leaving them in a pile somewhere in your yard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We do offer garden maintenance services. We offer a spring cleanup and a fall cleanup for ______+ materials. Included is weed removal, mulch refresh, plant separation, cleaning up plant placement if required. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
